we recently experienced the curse of human rights. we saw the riots in london were teenagers and the like took to the streets of britain and caused absolute mayhem and chaos. a complete disregard for authority and order. nobody was able to touch them. the police stood there paralyzed and it brought only frustration and anger to the honest citizens of britain. why was nothing done? why didn’t any authority stand up to put an end to these riots? because of human rights. because of secular humanism that places man at the pinnacle of life a we know it. because the youth of today are allowed to express their humanity. what utter rubbish. a system designed to fail a generation that will be the future of tomorrow. i am amazed that people claim to have human rights when they deny others the same right? this to me is linked to a secular humanistic world view. a world view that promotes self fulfillment and/or enlightenment. it is a secular thinking that presupposes human reason, ethics, and justice, and the search for human fulfillment. it explicitly rejects religious dogma, supernaturalism, pseudoscience or superstition as the basis of morality and decision-making. today secular humanism stands in direct contrast to supernatural religion which is based on the existence of God. its primary objective is the development of humanity. it attempts to do so via pragmatic thinking and exploration. it differs from science only to the extent that it struggles to “make up” an ethical code that is beneficial to human happiness. this in itself is a completely fallible system...a system made by human reasoning to protect human reasoning. come on! you can’t be serious? by definition (secular) humanism is fixated only on the human being and not with any external divine authority who stands in a superior position to man. we owe our children a chance to have a future. with the way things are currently progressing our children will have no future.
